Due to an improper internet connection or connection security protocol error, you can encounter this problem. Apart from that, if your computer is infected by a virus or if the system has a VPN installed, you can also encounter this protocol connection error. In order to get rid of this issue, I would suggest you follow up the following steps.

Synchronize the Clock to Resolve HSTS Chrome Error

In many cases, if your system clock is inaccurate, then the certain error code can appear. Due to the mentioned-below factors, your clock can be unsynchronized-

  • Due to an unexpected power loss
  • Shut down of the computer all of a sudden
  • Maybe you have restored your system or have installed a new operating system.

But to fix this error, just follow the steps I have given below-

For Mac Users

  1. If you are using Chrome of your Mac device, just close the window first
  2. Next, tap on the Apple menu and click on the System Preferences option
  3. Here a Date and time tab will open and under this option, you can find Choose Date and Time Automatically
  4. You have to go for that option but before you select it, you have to select the correct time zone
  5. Finally, launch Google Chrome on your Mac device and check if you are still getting the error or not

Clear HSTS Settings- HSTS Chrome Error(Resolved)

Delete the settings from your Chrome browser, and for that, follow my lead-

  1. After opening the browser, type  chrome://net-internals/#hsts
  2. Here you can view all the HSTS settings but you need to confirm that, your Chrome is recording all these settings for the specific domain
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and enter the hostname on Query Domain.
  4. Click on Query if it returns and Found, these settings will be saved in your browser
  5. Now enter the domain name to Delete Domain section.
  6. This process will prevent your browser to force an HSTS connection for that specific domain
  7. Just close and reopen the Chrome browser and check if the problem is solved or not.
